PROGRAMS
Through the willingness and dedication of Romblon East Central School teaching staff the following programs have become a part of the routinely activities of the school that contributed much to the success of school’s endeavor particularly in terms of academic achievement by performing progressively for several successive years.

Deworming day – This was given twice a year for grade I conducted by school nurse which started one month after the opening of classes.

Dental Check – up – This program of the school was also given to emphasis to alleviate the sufferings of school age children of giving advice on how to maintain healthy and cavity – free teeth.

Updates Pupils Health Records – This is to monitor the health condition of the pupils and give immediate action to their health problem.

Supplementary Feeding – The school is a recipient of the Feeding Program for all below normal pupils. This feeding was conducted by the school through the efforts of Local Government Unit of Romblon, stakeholders and the NGO.

Special Education (SPED) – Special Education Program was organized at the Romblon East Central under the tutelage of the principal. At present, there are three (3) teachers handling different disabilities to promote and advocate the pupils and the community.
The fundamental principle of inclusive school is that all children should learn together, wherever possible, regardless of any difficulties or differences they may have.(The Salamanca Statement on Principles, Policy and Practice in Special Education).Every child with special needs has a right to an educational program that is suitable to his/her needs. Special Education shares with regular education basic responsibilities of the educational system to fulfill the right of the very child to learn and develop to his/her full potential.

Integrated Fun Learning (IFL) – Every Friday afternoon the school conducts Integrated Fun Learning Day (IFL) pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 71, s. 2009 to develop talents and skills of the pupils in different areas like music, arts and sports.

Values Development – Programs such as religious instruction and School Mass every first Wednesday of the month is conducted to develop and instill in minds of the pupils the love of God and respect to other people.

Open day – Open day is practiced every after Periodical Examination for parents to meet the Principal and Teachers.

Problem Solve Me – This program targets to improve the mathematical ability of the pupils in solving word problems and enhance their skills in Mathematics. Grade I to Grade VI are provided with five (5) word problems to be done and solved by the pupils every week.

Pupils Are Priority Always (P.A.P.A) – This is a school which aims to recognize the achievement of pupils in its respective level and encourage other pupils to become achievers also.

Saturday Review Classes – This is done during Saturdays in preparation for the National Achievement Test in Grades III and Grades VI.

Little Teacher Reading Program – This is done during available hours wherein fast readers in Grade V and Grade VI play as a reading teacher for those slow readers in lower grades.

Scouting day – This is done every Friday morning wherein Grades IV, V and VI perform their duties and obligations as a scout inside and outside the school.

Intensified Remedial Instruction – Romblon East Central School has various Remedial Instruction Programs that are implemented by the teachers in their respective classes. The program focuses not only to non –readers and struggling readers but as well as to those labeled as fast readers.
